INFORM one another with interactive and vibrant stalls as well as a wide range of practical workshops of essential skills

INSPIRE each other by awakening the imagination and sharing our skills and knowledge.

EMPOWER ourselves by passing on learning and by taking responsibility within our 'Climate of Change'

WHY SHARE FAIR

Oil is running low, glaciers are melting, economy is in free fall, our water, air and soil are polluted, our relatives are dying, our people are disempowered and ill ... these a few of the symptoms of a system which is failing us.

We are in a climate of massive change. There is awareness of the tremendous challenges that face humanity, but we cannot wait for others to steer us through these amazing and difficult times.

The time to act is now and we must do it for ourselves. The power of change is in our hands. The problem is a systemic and social one – it asks that we respond as a community.

SHARE FAIR is A COLLECTIVE URBAN MOBILISATION in response to some of these challenges. The intention is to establish, strengthen and enable our local geographical community to take responsibility for ourselves and for our children.
SHARE FAIR seeks to provide a regular forum in the form of a community 'fair' where people can SHARE inspiring information, essential skills, creative ideas, local and seasonal products.

SHARE FAIR is focused on our community, developing practical skills and actions, based on our collective common sense, experience and knowledge, building our future for ourselves, our children and our Earth.

YOU ARE WARMLY WELCOME TO JOIN US by contributing your skills and knowledge to this site under the appropriate heading and/or participate in creating SHARE FAIR MOBILISATION EVENTS all over our planet!

WELCOME TO SHARE FAIR - POSITIVE LOCAL URBAN MOBILISATION

CELEBRATE what urban communities - services, businesses, local producers and individuals - are already doing to meet our very challenging time .

INFORM the collective through interactive and vibrant stalls and a wide range of practical workshops of essential and vital skills.

INSPIRE by awakening the imagination and sharing our collective 'knowing' with each other through stories, music, practical learning, films, talks and the unknown...

EMPOWER by passing on the learning, and taking responsibility of being part of the Change required by each of us for our children.

Woven throughout the whole event is a wide carpet of 'survival skill share' workshops run by and for the whole community - inspired with music, short empowering films, arts, stories, speakers and rich soil for the unknown to flourish...

The power of Change is in our hands as a community. We cannot wait any longer...we can and we must prepare for these massive challenges in practical and realistic ways...for our children, for ourselves and for our earth.

SHARE FAIR - EARTH - WHO ARE WE?

OUR HOME- OUR RESPONSIBILITY : 'We live in a similar moment of breakdown and creativity. The cosmological discovery that shatters nearly everything upon which the modern age was built is the discovery that the Universe came into existence 13.7 billion years ago and is so biased toward complexification that life and intelligence are now seen to be a nearly inevitable construction of evolutionary dynamics. Our new challenge is to reinvent our civilization. The major institutions of the modern period, including that of agriculture and religion and education and economics, need to be re-imagined within an intelligent, self-organizing, living Universe, so that instead of degrading the Earth's life systems, humanity might learn to join the enveloping community of living beings in a mutually enhancing manner. This great work will surely draw upon the talents and energies of many millions of humans from every culture of our planet and throughout the rest of the 21st century'. Brian Swimme
